Presentation

Scientific and technological advances in healthcare are transforming how we care for people and improving the quality of life. To meet these challenges, there is a growing demand for engineers who can integrate knowledge of engineering, science, and medicine.

If you want to contribute to healthcare innovation and be at the forefront of the interface between technology and biologyBiomedical Engineering is the master’s degree for you.

Competencies

What areas can you work in?

  • Medium and large healthcare facilities (hospitals and health centres);
  • Diagnostic and medical imaging centres;
  • Haemodialysis and radiotherapy units;
  • Clinical laboratories;
  • Physiotherapy and physiatry;
  • Companies that manufacture or represent clinical practice materials and medical monitoring and rehabilitation devices;
  • Engineering organisations operating in hospital and biomedical contexts;
  • Research units and centres in the biomedical field.

Learning Outcomes

What does this master’s degree give you?

  • You attend a program geared toward a growing job market with high national and international recognition.
  • You receive solid training at the engineering and health sciences interface, combining technical-scientific rigour with practical application.
  • You engage with a wide range of topics, allowing you to build a flexible career path and adapt to different areas of biomedicine.
  • You explore cutting-edge areas in science and technology, essential for improving people’s health and quality of life.
  • You will be part of an interdisciplinary environment, connected to healthcare institutions, industry, and research centres.
