P1-Mobility and Electric Mobility: concepts and objectives (4h)
P2-Electric Mobility within the Electric Power Systems, Smart Grids and Electric Power Markets: Impact of Electric Mobility, Management of energy resources, Business models and demand response (8h)
P3-The electric vehicle from the perspective of its users: Management of resources and loads within the scope of buildings, including the concepts of Vehicle to House (V2H) and Vehicle to Building (V2B) (4h)
P4-Electric and hybrid vehicles: Vehicle types, Technologies (engines and their controllers, energy storage systems). (19h)
P5-Design of an electric vehicle (12h)
P6-Legislation and barriers to the large-scale use of electric mobility: a world view and in the European Union (4h)
P7-Research and analysis of references; preparation of case studies; writing of articles and technical and scientific reports (15 h)
P8 - Use of methods and models appropriate to selected case studies (30 h).
Learning Outcomes
O1 - Provide knowledge to the discussion and analyses of Economic, social and ambient impact of persons and materials mobility.
O2 - Provide knowledge to the analyses of the electric vehicles impact on the power systems and electric energy markets.
O3 - Provide competences to the analyses and implementation of business models related with the electric mobility.
O4 - Provide knowledge about the main alternatives to the internal combustion vehicles.
O5 - Provide competences to the participation in an electric vehicle traction system project.
O6 - Provide competences to the participation in projects related with the primary energy storing and distribution, specially with electric energy.
O7 - Provide competences to the analyses and management of available energetic resources, mainly the ones related with electric energy production, including the electric mobility requirements at different utilization levels (system, local communities, buildings and single family housing).
O8 - Provide compete to the search, reading and interpretation of bibliographical references; development, writing and oral presentation of technical and scientific works in Portuguese and English.
