Learning Outcomes
Apart its specific goals, the course also contributes to the MSc program general goals, namely: skills concerning research, reading and interpretation of bibliographic references in English; design, writing and oral presentation of scientific work in English and Portuguese.
This course envisages the study of energy markets, their goals and the diverse market operation models, focusing mainly on electricity markets. The course aims at the understanding of the impact of these models adoption in current societies and in power system planning and operation methods, considering technical and economic aspects.
