CP 1. QUALITY MANAGEMENT (5 Week)
Quality concept. The evolution of quality. The evolution of quality standards to ISO 9001:2015. The Portuguese Quality System. Product certification. Community Directives, CE marking. ISO 9001. ISO 9000. Quality Improvement Tools.
CP 2. ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT (3 Week)
Environmental concepts; Environmental Diagnosis. Evaluation of environmental impacts. ISO 14001, EMAS Regulation. Environmental Performance Assessment. The Environmental Issue in the Power Systems.
CP 3. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT (3 Week)
Concepts and definitions in the field of Safety and Health at Work. Principles and methodologies for prevention management. Organization of Safety and Health in the Company. Risk Assessment. ISO 45001. OHS indicators in the electricity sector.
CP 4. INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (3 Week)
Partial integration and full integration. Implementation of an integrated management system. Audit to the integrated management system. ISO 19011.

Learning Outcomes

OB 1 - Give to the students the different concepts and strategy to promote the understanding and the integration the quality, safety and environment management systems.
OB 2 - Give to the students knowledge in audit techniques.
OB 3 - To promote the knowledge about the specific?s standards related to the quality, safety and environment.
OB 4 - The students must be able to relate the UC subjects with specific cases in power systems.
