B) Practical Laboratory Lessons (PL)
1. Application exercises and review of power systems load flow. (4 weeks)
2. Application exercises on state estimation in EPS (4 weeks)
3. Application exercises on the economic dispatch of production (4 weeks)
4. Application exercises about control of E.P.S. (4 weeks)

C) Theoretical / Practical Classes (TP)
Development work with written report and use of computer simulation tools for electrical networks, to be carried out largely outside of classroom hours.

Learning Outcomes

This course aims to develop student's skills in Planning and Operation of Electrical Power Systems (EPS).

Develop skills in issues concerning optimization and consideration of economic aspects in the production, transmission and processing of information on Power Systems.

Specific objectives
OB1 - Knowledge and Understanding: ability to identify, reproduce and interpret issues related to the field of education through scientific knowledge already acquired.
OB2 - Engineering Analysis: identify problems, analyze possible solutions and select the most appropriate method for proper implementation.
OB3 - Project Engineering: ability to design solutions that take into account environmental and economic development project engineering, using methodologies and models for optimal solutions.
OB4 research - use different tools to identify, locate, retrieve and organize data needed for a particular purpose.
OB5 - Surround Context: Ability to use computers and other technologies to communicate more effectively.
