Learning Outcomes
Enable the student to use decision-making techniques and methodologies to support production and service environments including the identification and analysis of alternatives.
The student after attending this course unit should be able to:
A - Name and describe different decision support techniques for operations management
B - Implement operations management solutions based on algorithms, dispatch rules and metaheuristics using computer tools;
C - Differentiate the various models and tools for optimization of production processes and recognize forms of integration.
D - Evaluate and critique the different decision support techniques in operations management by identifying the benefits and disadvantages of each.
