Contents
CP1 - Introduction to the PBL (Problem Based Learning) Methodology.
CP2 - Integration of skills and competences, by applying knowledge from several disciplinary areas, such as Forecasting and Inventory Management, Warehouse and Distribution Center Engineering, and Automation & IoT Technologies.
Learning Outcomes
General
OB1 - Capacity to integrate different knowledge areas and integrated vision ability;
OB2 - Capacity to acquire new knowledge and to apply it, as well as other previously learned, to specific real problems.
Specific
OB3 - At the end of the course unit the students should be able to develop solutions in Engineering and Supply Chain Management, namely in the areas of Forecasting and Inventory Management, Warehouse and Distribution Center Engineering, and Automation & IoT Technologies.
In addition, it is intended that students will be able to:
OB4 - Conceptual modelling and fundament.
OB5 - Plan and propose experimental methods, formulate and test hypotheses, identify and solve problems.
OB6 - Apply the scientific method to the hypotheses formulation of a model and evaluate if the resulting solutions support the experimental results found.
OB7 - Develop solutions for common engineering problems.
