Learning Outcomes
After the successful completion of this curricular unit, the student will be able to initiate a research project, evidencing the ability to:
LO1- Formulate a research problem, framing it, demonstrating its relevance and indicating possible ways to solve it; to support this argument with bibliographic references, researching additional resources autonomously; to state research questions and the respective objectives
LO2- Identify ethical issues in the research to be carried out, supporting them in norms and codes of conduct; to judge possible implications
LO3- Select the methodology and research plan to adopt; to argue their suitability for the objectives; to support with the bibliographic references the argument presented, researching additional resources autonomously
LO4- Select sources and types of information for the literature review; to select criteria and steps of the review procedure; to apply the procedure using databases and search engines; to organize the information in a spreadsheet; to evaluate the result by selecting references with valid content and organizing them into a bibliographic reference manager
LO5- Communicate in writing with appropriate language, respecting formal aspects and structure, and using a word processor; to evidence capacity for synthesis and critical reflection and care in the prevention of plagiarism; to incorporate comments and suggestions appropriately and in a timely manner
