Contents

CP1 - Introduction to the PBL (Problem Based Learning) Methodology.
CP2 - Integration of skills and competences, by applying knowledge from several disciplinary areas, such as Quality Engineering, Ergonomics and Study of Work, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Advanced Simulation and Design Models and Computer-Aided Manufacturing.

Learning Outcomes

General
OB1 - Capacity to integrate different knowledge areas and integrated vision ability;
OB2 - Capacity to acquire new knowledge and to apply it, as well as other previously learned, to specific real problems.

Specific
OB3 - It is intended that at the end of the course unit the students are able to develop solutions in Engineering and Industrial Management, particularly in the areas of Quality Engineering, Ergonomics and Study of Work, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Advanced Simulation and Design Models and Computer-Aided Manufacturing.

OB4 - Conceptual modelling and fundament.
OB5 - Plan and propose experimental methods, formulate and test hypotheses, identify and solve problems.

OB6 - Apply the scientific method to the hypotheses formulation of a model and evaluate if the resulting solutions support the experimental results found.

OB7 - Develop solutions for common engineering problems.
