Description

Course Description – Mathematics for Economists

This course provides students with a comprehensive foundation in the mathematical methods and analytical techniques required for the study of economics and business. It covers key topics including logic and relations, sequences and series, functions of one and several variables, differential and integral calculus, linear algebra, and systems of linear equations, with a strong emphasis on their application to economic and business problems.

Students develop the ability to formulate, analyse, and solve quantitative problems using mathematical models, while strengthening their analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The course integrates theoretical concepts with practical economic applications, enabling students to interpret mathematical results and apply them effectively in business decision-making and economic analysis.
