CP1 - Engineering Project
CP2 - Process design and definition
CP3 - Specification of raw materials and products
CP4 - Mass and energy balances
CP5 - Process diagrams and P&I diagrams
CP6 - Equipment dimensioning
CP7 - Construction equipment and materials
CP8 - Utilities needs
CP9 - Equipment cost estimation
CP10 - Implementation of the unit
CP11 - Legal procedures for implementing a project
CP12 - Realization of a project for an industrial installation that involves the implementation of the technologies covered throughout the course. The project includes the design of the main equipment (reaction, fluid transport, heat, and separation) of the unit, environmental impact and quality control considerations of the proposed process.
Learning Outcomes
With the frequency and approval to this course students are able to:
OBJ1 - Develop the preliminary design of industrial units
OBJ2 - Assess energy use, environmental impact and quality control of the proposed process
