Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, students should have knowledge and skills about the relevant unit operations, as well as the equipment used, with particular reference to those most commonly used in bioprocesses.
OBJ1 - Distinguish between the different unit operations and their objectives;
OBJ2 - Understand the principles and theoretical foundations and model equations of the technologies used;
OBJ3 - Identify and understand the different equipment used in these technologies;
OBJ4 - Realise and evaluate the effect of operating variables on bioprocess performance;
OBJ5 - Sizing and/or selecting the appropriate equipment for the practical implementation of these processes;
OBJ6 - Select the most appropriate technical solutions for obtaining a product.
