Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, students must have fundamental knowledge and skills in the field of wastewater treatment and gaseous emissions that enable them to meet the following objectives:
OBJ1 - Understand the importance of pollution control in an integrated perspective, and the concept of best available technologies.
OBJ2 - Understand the different processes for treating industrial gaseous emissions and wastewater.
OBJ3 - Understand the need for treatment and identify the appropriate treatment processes.
OBJ4 - Select and design the appropriate equipment for the practical execution of these processes, aiming the design of gaseous emissions treatment units and wastewater treatment units.
