Learning Outcomes

To know the legislation applicable to the management and treatment of a contaminated waste or soil (CWS); comply with legal requirements as an environmental officer of a company; to know, choose and project processes and equipment suitable for the treatment of a CWS, either from the point of view of end-of-pipe treatments or from the perspective of the circular economy, identifying potential impacts resulting from them.
OBJ1- To develop a CWS management plan, considering the legislation in force and identifying legal obligations
OBJ2- To select, implement and coordinate CWS treatment activities, according to the applicable legislation
OBJ3- To manage a CWS, by choosing the treatment technology to apply to each type of CWS and the necessary equipment
OBJ4- To perform material and energy balances associated with each technology
OBJ5- To design equipment used in CWS treatment
OBJ6- To develop management and monitoring plans for sanitary landfill and soil remediation
