Learning Outcomes

OBJ1-Identify renewable raw materials and final products that can be produced by the biochemicall path
OBJ2-Recognize the added value in biotechnology with significative reduction of waste, energy, and economic-saving, and consequent reduction of environmental impact
OBJ3-Identify potential surplus in production by improving strains used in fermentation processes
OBJ4-Describe the biorefinery concept comprised of two conversion platforms: thermochemical and biochemical in the production of energy, fuels, bulk chemicals and materials
OBJ5-Describe biotechnological processes in the base chemical, agri-food, pharmaceutical and energy industries
OBJ6-Develop contextual skills such as analysis and synthesis, writing in English, teamwork, effective communication and creative thinking.
