Learning Outcomes
This course offers the fundamental knowledge and skills for understanding industrial processes and their interactions with good management practices and certification of quality management systems.
O1 - To understand the importance of industrial processes in the modern society
O2 - To know the main industrial processes, raw materials, processes and manufacturing technologies and the characteristics required for the control of processes, materials, products and services
O3 - To list relevant parameters to assess and monitor quality in different industrial processes, materials, products and services
O4 - Indicate bottlenecks in manufacturing and outline strategies to overcome
O5 - To identify environmental aspects, assess their impacts and know how to design control and mitigation strategies
O6 - To know the practical interactions of industrial processes with the good management practices and certification of quality management systems.
The described learning objectives will be achieved through the use of different pedagogical methods, namely the active method (e.g., group work), the demonstrative method (e.g., demonstration), the expository method (e.g., dialogued presentation in which the student participates), and the interrogative method (e.g., question formulation).
