Learning Outcomes
This course aims to provide students with knowledge of Quality Control in Laboratories based on the NP EN ISO 17025 standard (General Requirements for Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories). The specific objectives are:
O1 understand the importance of Quality Control and the advantages of Accreditation of Laboratories according to the NP EN ISO 17025 standard
O2 acquire knowledge of Quality Control with a view to validating analytical methods
O3 perform laboratory work in a team that provide practical experience in interpreting standards, sampling, analytical testing
O4 interpret/criticise results, considering the relationships between parameters, standard and legislation in question according to the matrix/product tested
O5 prepare test reports/analytical bulletin incorporating quality control tools.
The described learning objectives will be achieved through the use of different pedagogical methods, namely the active method (e.g., group work), the demonstrative method (e.g., demonstration), the expository method (e.g., dialogued presentation in which the student participates), and the interrogative method (e.g., question formulation).
