Learning Outcomes
Study the separation technologies, which are of particular interest in the optics of quality, environmental protection and energy savings (cheaper alternative processes). Selection and sizing of equipment.
At the end of UC students should be able to understand the theoretical fundamentals and the model equations of different separation technologies, know how to select and size the equipment for a given separation operation.
OBJ1 ? Understand the theoretical concepts and model equations of separation technologies;
OBJ2 ? Identify and know the different equipment used in these separation technologies;
OBJ3 ? Understand how to proceed with the evaluation and control of separation operations;
OBJ4 ? Size and/or select the equipment used in the separation processes;
OBJ5 ? Select the appropriate separation process (or processes) to obtain a product.
