The theme of the internship must be previously approved by the Course Director and the autonomous work component implicit in the preparation of the internship must be supervised under the guidance of an ISEP teacher/researcher, and there may be internal or external co-supervisors to ISEP. There may also be the figure of supervisor for the technical managers of companies or institutions where the internship takes place.
The operation of supervised autonomous work, in a professional internship, is supported by a collaboration protocol between the host institution and ISEP.
The internship should be a work in a business environment, involving a strong experimental field component that promotes a theoretical-practical and methodological framework on the activities developed and in articulation between the curricular training process. It is important that it promotes the development of initiative, decision-making and creative and critical thinking skills.
