Contents

The course addresses the following main areas:
P1. Secure software lifecycle and software supply chain (20%)
P2. Embedded systems and Internet of Things (IoT) Security (20%)
P3. Advanced application security topics (20%)
P4. Other advanced cybersecurity topics, such as, side channels, application isolation, security in virtual and augmented reality, and machine learning (40%)

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:
CO1. Engage in comprehensive discussions about the various facets of cybersecurity (organizational, system, connectivity, and data) in an interconnected manner (BL5).
CO2. Acquire and apply current practices pertinent to the modeling, creation, and assessment of secure systems (BL5).
CO3. Assess, use, and critically analyze appropriate mechanisms and tools for designing and evaluating secure systems (BL5).
CO4. Conduct research inquiries to gain a conceptual understanding of cybersecurity domains, and critically evaluate recent research topics (BL6).
