Learning Outcomes
This course will focus on aspects related to DBMS administration and implementation of good practices in its design/use, considering performance, security, scalability and data protection, failure recovery, among others.
At the end of this UC the student should be able to:
- CO1. Identify functional and non-functional requirements, objectives and expectations for data/content storage and management (BL2)
- CO2. Select data/content storage and management technologies, according to domain requirements (BL5)
- CO3. Design scalable and elastic infrastructure for storing and processing large amounts of data/content, using distributed technologies (BL6)
- CO4. Plan and implement procedures, operations, and technologies for risk management, for business continuity and disaster recovery, ensuring regulatory compliance (BL6)
- CO5. Assess data/content security and protect user privacy, and the organization's intellectual property, using appropriate technologies and complying with regulations (BL5)
- CO6. Carry out configurations and operate data/content storage and management systems in accordance with Reliability, Integrity, Availability, Performance, Risk/Continuity, Cost, and other requirements (BL3)
- CO7. Analyze emerging technologies to understand their potential. (BL4)
