Learning Outcomes
This course focuses the Requirement Engineering promoting the management of the Requirements through the entire software cycle. Requirements need to be elicited, validated, elaborated, negotiated and managed. This course aims to simulate Request for Proposals (RFP) in the context of a team project, therefore, students, as a team, should be able to, holistically, develop a complex project correctly applying the best practices of requirement and software engineering.
By the end of this course, the student must be able to:
CO1 ? Conduct a process of software requirement elicitation, including, planning and executing the elicitation, identifying different types of requirements, applying different techniques, and refining the elicited requirements (BL 5).
CO2 ? Specify and analyse the requirements for a software solution, using multiple documentation media, artifacts, templates and perspectives (BL 5).
CO3 ? Validate and negotiate requirements using adequate techniques for requirements validation and prioritization, and conflict negotiation (BL 4).
CO4 ? Manage the requirements life cycle, taking in consideration the need to deal with change, tracing the requirements mapping and knowing the most relevant tools for requirements management (BL6).
CO5 ? Design, implement and document a software prototype that addresses the engineered requirements (BL 6).
CO6 - Working in teams, plan and manage the project, communicate and document their activity (BL 4)
