Learning Outcomes
This course aims to give students a real contact with technologies and
equipments commonly used in industrial automated systems. There are
equipments with a fast evolution, whose knowledge and practice are essential
for an Mechanical Engineer.
The educational objectives of this unit are:
- To provide the students with the integrative concept associated with the
exercise of Mechanical Engineering.
Give to the studets an experience to the real working environment, recreating in laboratory real problems.
To instil in students an working method based in develop themselves.
To instil in students the research methods.
Consolidate a number of theoretical knowledge more data on other courses.
Addressing and develop knowledge and technology
OB1:Provide the students with the necessary knowledge (in terms of automation programmed) in industrial environments to solve problems that involve the use of a PLC as a controller.
The knowledge acquired will allow that the student performs during this unit, a project in dimension and complexity similar to an industrial project. This project also allows the integration of all the taught syllabus, allowing the student acquire the skills needed to perform in their professional life, automation projects involving PLC's of small / medium complexity.
OB2:Provide students with the basic knowledge of Control Theory.
