Learning Outcomes

The purpose of this CU focuses on the application of knowledge acquired throughout the student?s academic training, providing responses to technical-scientific challenges in both academic and professional contexts.
Considering that MES students have a multidisciplinary background across various engineering fields, the specific objectives vary according to the nature of the individual work to be developed by each student.

The general and common objectives are as follows:

O1 ? Development of research and critical analysis skills:
Promotion of skills related to research, investigation, innovation, critical analysis, synthesis, organization, commitment, and communication, applied to the development of the dissertation, project, or internship.

O2 ? Integrated application of sustainability:
Incorporation of sustainability concepts into the specificity of the technical-scientific work developed, ensuring that proposed solutions consider environmental, social, and economic impacts.

O3 ? Contribution to scientific knowledge:
Development of skills aimed at publishing articles in scientific journals or conferences, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge within the academic and professional community.

O4 ? Applied value creation and societal impact:
Development of competencies to generate economic, social, environmental, and knowledge value in projects, companies, partnerships, or real-world challenges, promoting practical relevance and the student?s contribution to society, industry, and research. This objective aligns with SDGs 9, 11, 12, and 17, reinforcing the course unit?s social, environmental, and technological impact.
